I started this blog becasue of my love of cooking. I came across a recipe from Closet Cooking and discovered the world of food blogging!
This has to be my favorite dish of all time so I will go ahead and post it as my very first post!
Wasabi and Sesame Seared Tuna
Serves 4
Gluten Free
Ingredients
1 lb Sushi Grade Tuna
1/8 cup Soy Sauce
1/4 cup Prepared Wasabi
1/4 cup Black Sesame Seed
1/4 cup White Sesame Seed
1T Butter
1T Extra Virgin Olive Oil
Instructions
1. Marinate the tuna in the soy sauce at room temperature for 20 minutes, turning half way through.
2. Spread the wasabi on the tuna in a thin layer coating completely.
3. Roll all sides in a mixture of black and white sesame seeds.
4. Heat a medium skillet over high heat. Melt the butter and add the olive oil until bubbling.
5. Place the tuna in the skillet for a minute or less.
6. Flip once and cook for another minute or less. The outside should be browned.
7. Remove the tuna to a plate and allow to rest for at least five minutes.
8. Slice thinly and enjoy!
**Serve wtih additional soy sauce and prepared wasabi
