Gone Camping Chili

In an effort to stave off starvation while I take my daughter camping, Chris made a gigantic pot of chili.  He said he was watching Paul Deen, which is random in itself as typically the TV is on Sports Center, and her son Jamie was featured making chili and it looked really good.  He, printed out the recipe, gathered all the ingredients and went to work.  Later in the morning I got this email update at 10:12 AM:

"Um, the chili recipe filled the stainless steel pot up to 2inches from the top. It makes enough for about 20 people. I think you'll like it. Lots of veggies which is a little different from what I would like. And the whole peeled tomatoes are something visually to get used to. I reread the recipe about 10 times, I can't believe how much beans and different tomatoes go into it. Geez, you guys might want to take some camping with you..."

So there you go.  A good review of the recipe. Nothin' like a little chili at 10AM.

If you would like to try it the recipe is called Jamie's Chili.

When I got home the first thing I saw was the recipe with Chris's notes on there.  For some reason I loved this.  It was the first thing I took a photo of.

I did a taste test right out of the pot.  It was really good. The whole tomatoes added another dimension and he used ground pork rather than sausage so the other flavors really stood out.

Great job babe!
