Day two of our camping trip began after a breakfast of cheerios and skim milk topped with bananas and a dollop of peanut butter.
**except for allergic daughter who had fruit and special toast.
It took about twenty minutes to get to Savannah and park. We decided to walk along the water. Here is the view of the walk. There are wrought iron balconies and the smell of candy wafts through the air.
On the Georgia Queen you can take dinner cruises.
As we walked along we came upon the smooth sounds of the saxophone playing the Pink Panther theme song.
As this was my second trip to Savannah and Dad picked last time, I got to choose where we would eat. I decided on a Greek restaurant called the Olympia and I was not disappointed. My only regret was that I didn't take any photos of our hummus with cold pressed extra virgin olive oil, pillowy soft pita, Greek salads with the signature tang of perfect Greek dressing and salty feta, lamb Gyro wrap with yogurt sauce and a perfectly seasoned chicken kabob. My little one was taking a bit of attention to wrangle her to the table, hence the lack of food photos. Next time! I will be back....
We strolled along back before heading to the Bass ProShops at my Dad's request. The azaleas were almost neon they were so bright.
And I leave you with a reminder.....
....to always take time to stop and smell the azaleas.
