A while back I had made a peanut spread that tasted great and was lower in calories than the peanut butter. I wanted to recreate this; however, I decided to use this hazelnut agave rather than honey and almond butter instead of peanut butter.
The result was delicious. Nutty and rich! It goes great on toast, with fruit or even on a almond butter and jelly sandwich.
My favorite is on a ripe banana.
Almond-Hazelnut Agave Spread
Ingredients
3/4 cup 1% cottage cheese
1/4 cup almond butter
2 Tbsp hazelnut agave nectar
1 tsp vanilla
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Directions
1. Blend all ingredients until smooth.
